10 Booking Steps For AJ Lee Vs Stephanie McMahon At WrestleMania 31

7. AJ Lee Cuts A 'Pipe Bombshell' Promo Directed At Stephanie McMahon

In response to Stephanie patting herself on the back for the positive changes in the Diva€™s division, AJ Lee would come out and cut a scathing promo against Stephanie, condemning her for being a two-faced liar and a hypocrite, among other things. This promo would be very similar to her original €˜pipe bombshell€™ promo, only this once would be more laced with criticism leveled at Stephanie (the character, not the person). The best way to book this would be for AJ Lee to interfere in a match between Paige and one of the Bellas, helping Paige get the win. While the two of them would be recovering at ringside, AJ would grab a microphone and go on a long rant similar to her original one. The goal of this segment would be to make it sound as €˜real€™ as possible, despite being targeted at Stephanie€™s character. To add insult to injury, AJ would mention the women in NXT, who are being praised for their in-ring work, get long matches, main event the Network specials, and even get paid more than the male stars. These things would put Stephanie in a very bad light, and portray her as a bad boss. Even though this happening is very unlikely, given WWE€™s strange policy of rarely mentioning NXT outside of promoting WWE Network specials, if AJ were to do this it would accomplish three things: portray the Stephanie McMahon character in a bad light, promote AJ as a crusader for the well-being of women in WWE, and raise interest in NXT.
