10 Booking Steps For Shane McMahon In AEW
8. Shane McMahon Creates His Own Faction
AEW is the land of the factions. Almost all wrestlers on the roster are part of some group, if not multiple at the same time, bouncing around until they find the right fit.
No matter what the promotion, the general rule of thumb for heels is that they can often work better if they're surrounded by other villains. The numbers game helps them out in most matches where they can interfere and cause distractions, and there's strength in having a bigger group of allies.
That goes especially true for weasel heels. Shane is never going to be booked as an unstoppable monster on a solo path of destruction. He's clearly more the cerebral type who would have stooges to do his bidding and underlings to carry out his orders.
As such, he would need to start a faction of villains, amassing supporters from different avenues. If possible, bringing in some new talent to the company would be a great spotlight for them, but recruiting from within other groups and stealing wrestlers away or repurposing them with heel turns would be even easier.
Thankfully, there are lots of great options for who could be a McMahon supporter, but there's one in particular that would be an absolute necessity.
