The New Day haven't been winning an awful lot of matches recently. The trio's most recent loss was to The Usos and Dolph Ziggler on the last episode of Smackdown. Due to the fact the babyfaces left with the upper hand on that show, it looks like New Day will be handed the victory at the Royal Rumble. Quite clearly, WWE shouldn't have every heel cheat to win on the show. For example, if Charlotte is aided by Ric Flair to defeat Becky Lynch, The New Day should find another way to win. Admittedly however, New Day's number advantage will likely come into play on the pay-per-view, leading to their victory. On Raw, they could then act all superior and brush off The Dudley Boyz. This makes the champions look strong, which is definitely something management want to achieve. Having powerful champions only makes any potential successors look even better, and The Dudleyz don't really need wins to keep them over in the eyes of the fans.
