8. Reaction To Randy Orton Vs. Brock Lesnar

It can't be denied that SmackDown's announcement concerning Brock Lesnar's SummerSlam opponent felt a little anticlimactic. Randy Orton, soon to return from a shoulder injury, will be Lesnar's rival on the pay-per-view, but there's been no context as to why the match is actually happening. Right now, it's just a bout between two big stars.

Maybe that's enough, but it'd be nice to have more to work with than that. On Raw, WWE have to at least try to make a big deal out of the situation. An easy way to do this is to have a promo segment ready to go with Orton, explaining why he wanted the match with Brock.

Recognising that he's been out of the loop for a while now, Randy wants to prove himself. What better way to do that than by going after the absolute best, or the absolute 'Beast'?

Orton is set to return to action in the next few weeks, but if he's not quite ready to appear in-person on Raw, WWE need something that reacts to this major announcement. A promo could be ideal.
