The segment involving Mick Foley on last week's Monday Night Raw felt especially poignant. Handing Dean Ambrose his barbed wire baseball bat, the legendary figure said that Ambrose would need to go back to his roots in order to compete with the ferocious Brock Lesnar come WrestleMania 32.

The whole ordeal felt like a symbolic passing of the torch, which was a nice touch. A lot of fans had been wondering if WWE were more interested in booking Ambrose as a wacky character, more so than an actual dangerous threat to Lesnar. It seems they're now pushing things more in the direction of the latter, which is good news.

On Smackdown, Ambrose smashed The Social Outcasts with a kendo stick. It would have made more sense for him to use the baseball bat handed to him by Foley, but that could be the plan for Raw.

Seeking revenge, Curtis Axel of the Outcasts could face Ambrose in a short match. Following a routine win for Dean he could hype up to his promised confrontation with Lesnar on Smackdown by grabbing the mic, smashing Axel with the bat and saying Brock is next.
