10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (March 7)

8. Kevin Owens WrestleMania Opponent(s) Established

Ryback is certainly one option as an opponent to Kevin Owens, but it's not one that's likely to satisfy fans. Owens has been on somewhat of a downward trend lately, losing to The Big Show by countout and then dropping to his old foe Dean Ambrose on Smackdown. He need some momentum, and quickly. So many big names are out of the equation for Owens come WrestleMania 32, so it makes sense to imagine someone like Dolph Ziggler, The Miz or maybe even Big Show himself will be his opponent. WWE are far less likely to incur the wrath of fan unrest over those names if Owens is booked in a multi-man encounter for the event. Owens is a deserving addition to the 'Mania card, so it's a bit shoddy that he doesn't have a definitive rival for the pay-per-view yet. Perhaps the dreaded pre-show 'Kickoff' spot looms ominously in the distance, but it'd be heartening to think management have something better in store for the Intercontinental Champion. Even a 'Champ vs. Champ' bout against Kalisto would be better than leaving things too late.
