Feuds such as Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens and AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns don't need to end once Payback is over with. There's scope to continue all of these rivalries into the next pay-per-view on the calendar, Extreme Rules. WWE have ample opportunity to book some awesome stipulation bouts for that show.

The Monday Night Raw episode immediately following Payback could be one of the most interesting in a while, certainly if Vince McMahon chooses Shane to run things. For months, the McMahon son has been waxing lyrical about a new era for the flagship show, and that should ring true on Monday night.

Fresh talent should be a definite focus, but there's room to continue the issues between Reigns and Styles. Obviously, this article relies on some conjecture over what may happen at Payback. Just imagine the excitement if AJ could beat Reigns to become the new WWE Champion, that would shake things up incredibly.

Looking forward and using some fantasy, let's book the next episode of Monday Night Raw, and see where WWE could take things post-Payback...

10. Shane Welcomes Everyone To His Monday Night Raw

Should Shane win out over his sister Stephanie at Payback, it makes sense to have him open Monday Night Raw with a beaming grin on his face. Much has been made over Vince's decision over who will run Raw on the pay-per-view, but it surely has to be his son. He's the fresher face in the picture right now.

Contrasting completely with Stephanie and Triple H's iron rule, Shane would be a much more fan-friendly figure for Raw. As soon as he appeared, he would forgo the chance to gloat, instead focusing on exactly how he can take the Monday night show forward.

Straight away, Shane would book a WWE United States Title bout between Kalisto and Rusev, as well as a tag-team match pitting Dean Ambrose and Cesaro against Chris Jericho and The Miz.

Looking for that colossal main event to kick off his era, Shane would also schedule a 6-man tag bout, seeing AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson take on Roman Reigns and The Usos in the main event slot. This would lead to the appearance of Styles.
