Darren Young has a new character to focus on following SmackDown. It now appears that WWE Hall Of Fame inductee Bob Backlund is his 'life coach', even if the out of touch legend is calling himself something else. In Backlund's mind, he's there to teach Young how to wrestle, which will likely lead to some WWE-style comedy.

The New Day are in limbo at the moment, waiting around to face The Vaudevillains at Extreme Rules. There's an odd feel to that match, because most people assumed Enzo Amore & Big Cass would be the challengers. A concussion put that idea to rest, meaning Simon Gotch and Aiden English are the challengers.

New Day would interact well with Bob Backlund and Darren Young, wondering along with everyone else how such a relationship can work. On Raw, Big E and Kofi Kingston would team with Young to face members of The Social Outcasts.

At ringside, Xavier Woods would try to encourage Backlund to play the trombone, but he'd be more eager to put the Crossface Chicken Wing on members of the Outcasts.
