7. Chad Gable's New Life

To the relief of pretty much everyone, Chad Gable's King of the Ring push didn't immediately evaporate at the culmination of the tournament. Having renewed hostilities with Baron Corbin after the coronation, and again this week on Monday Night Raw, he looks like being given the time and the spotlight to really establish himself on the main roster.

When I started preparing my notes for this pre-Raw, I had hoped that he'd be allowed to move on from Corbin and into another rivalry with... well, someone he could put on a classic series with. Failing that, just a string of story-less matches where the other fantastic workers on the brand get to go toe-to-toe with him.

But given there's still some life in the Corbin feud, there's no reason that can't be folded in somehow. It could be Gable getting attacked on the cusp of a big win (Nakamura needs an opponent tonight) or simply Corbin calling him out to "settle things" once and for all. Either way, the guy has reignited his career in the last few weeks and that momentum needs to carry.
