10 Booking Steps For The Undertaker Vs Bray Wyatt At WrestleMania 31
2. The Go Home Promo
Moreso than anything that will define this feud, the in-ring promos are so important. This feud is meant to allow Bray Wyatt to literally become The Undertaker insofar as occupying his place as the moral conscience of the WWE Universe. Wyatt again explaining that he doesn't want to beat the Undertaker for any other reason but to take his power is important. He can outline taking away his family, having already been Tombstoned (and surviving) plus all of his "fireflies" in the crowd who were once Taker's "creatures of the night" as proof that all he needs is to defeat him at Wrestlemania to have it all. Undertaker's response is that the WWE Universe is still his "yard," and that he's maybe not the biggest, but he's certainly the oldest dog in the yard, and that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. He'll say that he's seen hundreds of people like Wyatt come and go in his career, but that if he beats him, then (and only then) will he know that Wyatt's special. This sets the stage. Wyatt, surrounded by Kane and The Ascension, Taker, the oldest dog in the yard, standing alone. Wyatt looking hungry, Undertaker looking proud. It's an epic bout for certain, and the stage would be appropriately set.
