10 Boring WWE Feuds That Dragged On WAY Too Long
3. Seth Rollins Vs. Baron Corbin
The post-WrestleMania season was rough for Monday Night Raw’s top champion. Following a euphoric win over Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins was inserted into a feud with… Baron Corbin.
Baron Corbin isn’t a terrible heel. He’s a perfect mid-card act. But he should be nowhere near the Universal Championship, let alone for four months! The pair feuded at consecutive shows from Money In The Bank all the way to Extreme Rules, with various stipulations being added on top of each match.
The feud was relentlessly boring, filled with dull, tedious matches that even a worker like Seth Rollins couldn’t save. Corbin’s abilities on the mic were passable but it did become the same promo week in week out. This shouldn’t have been direction that Rollin’s took after winning the belt.
The match at Extreme Rules was the nail in the coffin for this feud. While the tag match for the Universal Championship and Raw Women’s Championship really hurt Becky Lynch, more damage was done to Rollins. His Twitter game didn’t help, but the Baron Corbin feud really dragged down what could have been an impressive title reign for The Kingslayer.
