One of the most interesting matches for Brock Lesnar would be with Daniel Bryan, whose skill at playing the underdog would combine with his crisp offense to make for the perfect opponent - one whom Lesnar could overlook, then find himself surprised by. The match very nearly happened - As WWE Champion following WrestleMania XXX, Bryan was penciled in to reign for several months before dropping the title to Brock at SummerSlam. Instead, the champion's neck injury forced him to vacate the title, and it was new champion John Cena who was defeated by Lesnar. Bryan returned and lost the Royal Rumble match, but challenged winner Roman Reigns to a bout for a shot at Lesnar's title. The creative team stuck with Reigns, and again, Brock-Bryan didn't happen. Bryan's current injuries have put his career in jeopardy, but if he does set foot in the ring again, there's no opponent better for him than Brock Lesnar.
