10 Brutal Times Wrestlers Worked Stiff

The good times just kept on coming for John Cena-circa 2012.

Hot on the heels of being bested by The Great One at WrestleMania XXVIII, Super Cena was faced with the unenviable task of taking on a returning Beast Incarnate at Extreme Rules. Only, this wasn't the same Brock Lesnar who'd walked out on Vince McMahon's empire in 2004 - this one had a new-found thirst for blood.

Showcasing the sort of all-round MMA game that had made him a Heavyweight Champion in the world of the UFC, Brock quickly busted open the face of the company and proceeded to treat the multiple time World Champion like a sack of potatoes. Laying in devastating punches to the skull and catching The Leader of the Cenation with an elbow not too dissimilar to the one that would bust open Randy Orton at SummerSlam a few years later, Brock wasn't here to play games.

Cena may have somehow walked out of the arena as the victor on the night - a decision as baffling today as it was then - but there was no mistaking who made the bigger impact on the night... in more ways than one.
