Whether you love or hate John Cena, you cant deny his popularity and importance to WWE and its fans. He is the big draw for many and the central figure of the company for the past decade. With Randy Orton and Seth Rollins also out, Cenas injury couldnt have come at a worse time, just a week after he returned from a two-month hiatus and right when WrestleMania season was slated to begin. So with Cena out for several months, the question has to be asked: How will WWE fill the void that undoubtedly will be created by Cenas absence? The company managed to muddle through November and December without Cena while he was out filming a TV show and ratings sunk to record lows so you cant imagine that being without him for six to nine months will be any easier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bszy7EV7WLA Its time for WWE to acknowledge that Cena, who turns 39 this year, wont be around as a full-time performer forever, so now is the time to start looking for the next generation of stars to fill that void. Relying on Cenas legendary recuperative powers isnt going to work.
