3. Will Stephanie Neuter Foley Again?
Who had “two months” before Stephanie McMahon emasculated
and humiliated Mick Foley on television to show who’s boss?
The Raw commissioner laid into her GM last week after Foley pointed out that Stephanie sent a referee to the ring just in time to count Kevin Owens’ pinfall victory over Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions. She berated and browbeat an apology out of a humbled Foley, who backed down from his accusation that she and husband Triple H were in cahoots because he picked her up from work.
The whole thing was poorly done (much like the entire episode). But watching Stephanie establish herself as a villainous once again (shocker) and belittle others is enough to make fans long for 1995 and the days when evil authority figures weren’t prevalent – or at least didn’t dominate screen time.
So will we get more of this “emerging heel” stuff from Stephanie, and will it come at the expense of Foley? (And will someone then ask Mick about Steph’s “shy smile?”)
