WWE legend (killer) Randy Orton posted an interesting video on social platforms ahead of Friday's SmackDown in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Via X, 'The Viper' showed himself standing in front of a display case honouring his family's legacy whilst talking to the mystery man.

Here's what Randy said: "Likewise, man. I appreciate everything you’ve been doing for me. Yeah, I think we are good to go. This Friday, right? I’ll see you in St. Louis".

That suggests the big reveal will happen on this week's edition of blue brand fare. Surely WWE aren't going to keep fans waiting much longer given Orton's comments?! He's been playing mind games with WrestleMania 42 rival Cody Rhodes ahead of their WWE Title clash later this month, and now Randy has backup.

Some people believe it'll be the recently-exonerated Ted DiBiase Jr who launches a previously-unlikely comeback. Together, Orton, Rhodes and DiBiase formed the Legacy faction between 2008-2010, so it would be fitting if Ted played a part in this fractured friendship storyline.

Failing that, there are those who think Shane McMahon is on the return trail. Those are just some of the wild predictions from fans eager to know who Randy has been speaking to during recent episodes of SmackDown.

It looks like the wait is almost over. Orton did say that this person is part of 'another of wrestling's royal families', so it'd have to be someone with lineage. Roll on Friday night so the next wrinkle in WWE's story can take shape.
