In only a couple of years' worth of competing, Tessa Blanchard has already become one of the most successful women on the independent scene. The daughter of Tully Blanchard and the stepdaughter of Magnum TA, the star has quickly made a name for herself in wrestling.

The 21-year-old Blanchard has competed for NXT a handful of times (losing to Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, and Carmella), but her greatest accomplishments have been outside the auspices of WWE; she has gained experience working for Women Superstars Uncensored and Shimmer, and is currently the reigning East Coast Wrestling Association Women's Champion.

Her most high-profile match came just last month, when she advanced to the finals of Japanese women's promotion Stardom's annual 5STAR round robin tournament. Though she fell to the more experienced Yoko Bito, it was a major accomplishment for her to reach the end of arguably the most prestigious tournament in women's wrestling and headline a show at Korakuen Hall.

Blanchard will undoubtedly end up in WWE at some point. The Women's Classic would make the perfect debut for her.
