10 Candidates For WWE's Bizarre Post-WrestleMania 36 Push

8. Tamina

Again, this one is already in progress, but WWE might just take it further in the months to come.

They've already burned through Naomi and Lacey Evans as challengers to Bayley's SmackDown Women's Championship. There's no sign of a draft incoming, for obvious reasons. Short of an NXT call-up, there are few other options but a Tamina run, and this actually acts as a wedge with which to divide Bayley and Sasha Banks. Bayley will need help to overcome this much larger opponent - but how willing is Sasha, after the events of WrestleMania?

Tamina is a cruel meme at this point, and was fair over the last few weeks. But this isn't inspiring.

This might provide some perverse amusement, if nothing else, since WWE tends to leap headfirst into blunder with no self-awareness whatsoever. Nothing has changed since WWE marketed Jimmy Snuka's daughter as possessing a "killer instinct" - they reenacted Chris Benoit's suicide at WrestleMania, and it wasn’t even the most disgusting promotional tactic associated with the event! - and so expect another gaffe.

"Is this the end of the road for Bayley's SmackDown Women's Championship reign?" Michael Cole might ask.
