10 Changes To Make WWE Smackdown's Thursday Move Successful
5. Feature Weekly In-Depth Character Profiles
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMLVIHBfzMA Heres one of the best ways to make Smackdown feel different from Raw from a character perspective. Let Smackdown be the show where we get to know more about the superstars we are watching. The idea is to air weekly in depth superstar/diva profiles that may look at their history with the company, their life before the WWE, examine what their goals and needs are; basically give the audience a better understanding of who the hell they are and why they go out every week and fight when they could be doing literally anything else. These 4-5 minute packages would be exclusive to Smackdown and could become something that people tune in to see. It gives us a chance to understand guys like Darren Young or Fandango or even Dean Ambrose, while giving the amazing production staff at the WWE a chance to put out more amazingly produced packages throughout the year. Think the old WWE Desire videos, for a new era. Those would be hits and might even get people behind some of the superstars who dont get the time to really show who they are in their limited exposure to the WWE Universe.
