10 Characters WWE Gave Up On Way Too Soon

9. Eva Marie

There was a lack of persistence surrounding Eva Marie's brief stint on SmackDown post-WWE Draft too. Hardcore fans already knew that Marie hadn't exactly taken to pro wrestling, and she was viewed as a model who fancied using the company to gain notoriety. That idea was furthered by few matches and her casting on Total Divas.

In a moment of brilliance, WWE used that perception to create a new character for Eva that mixed her non-wrestling ways with 'Gorgeous' George Wagner. Suddenly, she was given an elaborate, narrated entrance and carried herself like wrestling royalty. The best thing was that she constantly made excuses to get out of wrestling.

The heel guise was getting Marie some heat, but her Wellness Policy violation on 18 August 2016 killed the new character dead. Instead of picking right back up where they left off with the gimmick, WWE put it on the scrap heap and Eva was hardly seen on TV again.
