10 Cheesy WrestleMania Moments You Totally Don't Remember
5. The Miller Lite Cat Fight
WWE gets a lot of flak for bumping potentially great matches from WrestleMania in favour of Kid Rock concerts or pointless skits, and this was arguably one of the worst offenders of all time.
The Miller Lite company had been running a series of commercials wherein Kitana Baker and Tanya Ballinger would have ‘catfights’ about the ‘great taste of Miller’, pushing each other into fountains and wet cement, and getting half-naked in the process. It was pretty dumb, but the kind of dumb WWE traded in back in the early 2000s.
So they were drafted in to appear at WrestleMania XIX, where they took part in a ‘WrestleMania Catfight’, something even Jonathan Coachman looked embarrassed to announce. The two were about to roll around on a large bed, hitting each other with pillows, before Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson would join the match and do pretty much the same thing.
Speaking of Coachman, he actually ended up somehow losing the match, despite never knowingly entering. He got his trousers pulled down, and was pinned by Stacy, while the women celebrated.
RVD and Kane vs Lance Storm and Chief Morley for the Tag Championships took place on Sunday Night Heat, all so this could air.
In a post-match interview, Keibler insisted that “all the girls won the match.” If that’s the case, then the rest of the world most certainly lost.
