10 Christmas Gifts Every WWE Fan Wants

5. More NXT

One aspect where WWE deserve real praise is for their handling of NXT. Stripped down to small arenas, the show comes across like an old-school territory, complete with exclusive belts, events and stars. It's exactly what a development league should be, and the fact it's available on the WWE Network for hardcore fans is the icing on the cake. Men such as Tyson Kidd have toiled for years, becoming lost in the shuffle on shows such as Raw and Smackdown. On NXT, the last graduate of the infamous Hart Family Dungeon appears motivated, and has room to breathe. Adding to this success, newcomers have the essential rub of working alongside men and women WWE fans are already accustomed to, and the result is an unbelievably entertaining show, one which gets it right more often than not. If Smackdown needs a revamp anyway, why not scrap it, and afford the air time to NXT? Wrestling fans all over the world are raving about those three letters, and it would certainly shake up WWE's TV week. Besides, the crowd packed inside Full Sail University may be small, but they genuinely care about what's being presented, which would make a welcome change from the increasingly-bored Smackdown audiences, and negate the need to pipe in crowd noise during post-production.
