1. Pat Patterson And Dolph Ziggler (Breaking Point 2009)
Remember when Dolph Ziggler was little more than a cocky heel who constantly introduced himself to everyone in sight? Well, he had moved on a little to simply being an arrogant villain by the time the one-off Breaking Point pay-per-view hit screens in September 2009, a show co-headlined by John Cena vs. Randy Orton in an 'I Quit' battle and CM Punk facing The Undertaker in a Submission Match. Right before Cena faced Orton, the legendary Pat Patterson made his way out to greet the live crowd. The show was taking place in Patterson's native Montreal, Quebec, Canada, so it wasn't an entirely random appearance. Pat seemed to be there to put over John Morrison and the WWE Intercontinental Title, making mention of the fact that he was the first one to hold the title. Only then did Ziggler come out for a bit of comedy improv, and his jokes were absolutely horrendous, revolving around hairpieces and Pat's age. Then he kicked Patterson in the gut, but was run off by Morrison before he could do any further damage, either physically or on the microphone. The segment didn't really seem to have much purpose and just droned on and on. It felt like something which would have been better-placed on Raw or Smackdown rather than a pay-per-view people were charged to watch. What other colossal wastes of time can you think of from WWE pay-per-view events? Do you remember any of the ones posted here? Let us know what you think down in the comments section below!
