10 Completely RANDOM Cameos In AEW
9. Erick Redbeard
"Goodbye for now, my brother. See you down the road."
This poignant ten-word tribute to Mr Brodie Lee was plastered on a card held proudly by Erick Redbeard on AEW's memorial show to the fallen 'Exalted One' in December 2020, and, as crude as it may be to proclaim, this should have marked the beginning and conclusion of Redbeard's AEW lineage. 'Big Red', at 6'8" and 350 pounds, didn't fit the profile of an AEW prospect circa-2020. He barely added anything to WWE when he was there in his first run, despite being Fed-built through and through, so where would he fit into All Elite Wrestling?
Tagging with his fallen brother's Dark Order cohorts?
Being flanked by Jake 'The Snake' Roberts?
A Dark/Dark: Elevation lifer?
Nope; he joined, for one night only, PAC and Penta Oscuro in Death Triangle, and, later, Danhausen.
Redbeard's re-runs in AEW weren't sensible decisions on Tony Khan's part. In the case of the former, he was revealed at the seventh hour as Death Triangle's third man against The House of Black for Revolution 2022, replacing Rey Fenix in an immense clash of styles - but Fenix had been ruled out with a broken arm a whole two months before Erick's unveiling.
Could Tony not afford to find anyone else during these eight weeks?
