10 Contenders For The First AEW Midcard Championship
1. Adam Page
Hangman Adam Page is a classic example of too much, too soon.
He was elevated to main event status well before his time, competing in the first ever AEW World Championship match at All Out.
Page didn't get over as a top contender, which made his match with Jericho a foregone conclusion. The Hangman needs to be rebuilt, and this is the perfect way to do it.
He could acknowledge his inexperience and use it as fuel in his quest for midcard gold. After a series of great matches, Page could finally capture the title and, hopefully, the respect of the fans.
Page needs a little extra something if he is to become the top star AEW think he can be. He already has a good look, a great move-set, and is on people's radars. He just needs to prove himself as a champion. Page is a solid babyface that fans can really get behind and is the perfect candidate to be elevated by a midcard title run.
Now that's some good cowboy sh*t.
