10 Controversial Moments In Hulk Hogan's WWE Career

2. His Son's Car Crash

In August 2007, Hulk Hogan's son Nick was taking part in an illegal drag race on the streets of Florida. He was driving under the influence of alcohol and crashed his Dad's yellow Toyota Supra. As a result of the incident, Nick ended up doing time in jail, and his passenger John Graziano ended up requiring 24 hour round the clock care for the rest of his life. Nick was deemed responsible and it was a major black mark against the then wholesome Hogan brand. Hulk defended his son and threw significant money behind him to help avoid jail, but it was to no avail. The controversy for Hulk stemmed from the perception that he didn't care about the victim in all of this, he only cared for Nick and the Hogan brand. The biggest controversy was audio tapes that then surfaced, in which Hulk implies that Graziano's incident was "God's will." Hogan later went on Larry King to apologise.
