10 Controversial WWE Attitude Era Moments You Totally Forgot About

3. Chaz: Wifebeater

Beaver Cleavage is funny in retrospect in a sort of "What is Vince like, eh?!" sort of way.

Vince and his bloody incest, dearie me. He loves a bit of that, doesn't he? Mad awld rich guy. Does he not know his daughter's taken?!

Beaver Cleavage was another gimmick conceived through the rolodex of controversy. What can we do that's f*cking disgusting? the WWF seemed to constantly ask itself at the turn of the millennium, arriving at the answers "create hand babies", "chop penises off with swords" and "encourage the Undertaker's delusion that he is Clint Eastwood".

These were incredibly naff and very inoffensive storylines incumbent on the parent to simply not allow little Johnny to watch. But the WWF, being the WWF, also moved away from dumbsh*t shlock and into areas they had no business veering into with their wildly shallow bullsh*t. The Terri miscarriage plot is more infamous, but the lesser-known postscript to 'Beaver Cleavage' is that the mother he wanted to bang onscreen was his "girlfriend" "offscreen," Marianna Komlos. She wore black eye make-up to insinuate that "Chaz" was beating her. Chaz was dealt rough justice by various wrestlers and referees alike, indirectly depicting the entirety of the WWF as institutionally good. Which was funny, because no it wasn't.

Both storylines revealed the woman to be a lying jezebel, because WWE is a company with terrible f*cking people in it.
