In stark contrast to the complete lack of stars on the X8 poster, WWE chose to cram its entire main event crew (oh, and MVP) onto the poster for WrestleMania 25. There was some confusion over the tagline of "The 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania", as technically the following year's Mania would be the actual 25th anniversary of the first event. But things like that dodn't matter to Vince McMahon dammit. Elements of stars, spotlights and silver imagery further served to showcase Wrestlemania 25 as a huge celebration and milestone. Interestingly, before WWE went full steam ahead with the "25th Anniversary" theme, the event was first announced as "WrestleMania XXV" with a much more Texas-centric gimmick. A single star, representing "The Lone Star State", was designed to look loosely like a Sheriff's badge, with the host city of Houston branded into the metal. While WWE abandoned the Texas flavor for the "Celebration" theme, fans may note they have gone full steam ahead with the Texas imagery for this year's Mania in Dallas. Look out for those lone stars and longhorns, y'all!
