4. Rick Rude

The idealised human male is a hard-as-nails badass with a full head of flowing hair, a moustache, an über-toned and über-tanned grater of a physique, and an irresistible sway with the ladies.

The idealised human male, manifested, is 'Ravishing' Rick Rude.

During his bouncing days, apocrypha has it that he knocked out a big b*stard with a slap when his hand was broken. As hard as Haku, as cool as David Lee Roth; Rick Rude was ridiculously easy to resent. He was a great, great heel with a great, great bit of crowd antagonism.

"Cut the music. What I'd like to have right now is for all you fat, out-of-shape [localised insult] to keep the noise down while I take my robe off and show the ladies what a real man looks like!" Demanding; insulting; entitled; Rick Rude was the man. Rude was cool because he was categorically better than the rest of us in every conceivable way. You can't not look up to somebody so far above you.

Look at that permed mullet and moustache. Just look at it.
