CM Punk has always had a reputation as a bit of a hothead. That, combined with his dedication to his tough guy persona, makes him a person with whom your average fan wouldnt want to mess. After a match with Vince McMahon that turned into a beating from the WWE Champion, Punk was run off into the crowd by Ryback. As he stared down his hated adversary from his position amongst the masses, a fan slapped Punk in the back of the head. Punk spun around, quickly nailing the fan in the face with a martial arts-style strike. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJaEprC3pDY The only problem? It was the wrong guy. Whoever hit Punk got away with it, and an innocent fan was smashed in the face by the WWE Champion. It all happened behind Punks back and he couldnt have known who was to blame, but more importantly, he should have erred on the side of caution. What could have been a public relations nightmare (and a potential lawsuit) was diffused quietly, and the only remnant was a wild bit of footage.
