10 Crazy Facts You Just Have To Accept Before You Can Enjoy Wrestling

5. Wrestlers Are Very Easily Distracted

During a match a wrestlers number one priority is to win. To beat their opponent so badly that they stay down for a three count. That tends to work best when you actually pay attention to your opponent. Yet most wrestlers suddenly forget their opponents, mostly when they are seconds away from finishing them off, whenever they hear someones music play, or when their rival appears at ringside, or in the crowd, or on the Titantron. Wrestlers will take their focus off the match at a seconds notice and babyface wrestlers are known to abandon a match completely to chase their rival, only to lose once they turn back around and are hammered by their opponent who mysteriously recovered in the split second their back was turned.
