10 Crazy Facts You Just Have To Accept Before You Can Enjoy Wrestling

3. Wrestlers Can't Climb Ladders

Wrestlers are supremely conditioned athletes, there can be no doubt about that. They could kick your ass in a real fight because that's what they do for a living (wink wink). Behind celebrities, they are the toughest, most athletically gifted specimens on the planet and they have physiques that make us normal people want to kill ourselves. Yet they all seem to have trouble climbing ladders. Call it a fear of heights. Call it an aversion to steel rungs. It is one of the greatest mysteries in the history of wrestling. Men who can climb to the top rope faster than most people can climb a flight of stairs, suddenly lose their confidence on a ladder. Hell even Kofi Kingston struggles on the rungs. You can ponder this question for a million years and never find an answer, so you may as well just let it go and enjoy the match.
