10 Crazy WWE Moments That Could Only Happen On Live TV

1. Tyson And Austin! Tyson And Austin!

"I don't know how good your hearing is, but if you don't understand what I'm saying I always got a little bit of sign language, so here's to ya." - Steve Austin, who followed that up with two middle fingers right in the face of Tyson. When WWE brought in Mike Tyson in early 1998 it was a huge deal. At the time, Tyson was suspended by the sport of boxing for biting the ear of Evander Holyfield in a fight Tyson was clearly losing. People thought he was legitimately nuts. Remember that this was also after he had been in jail for the early part of 1990s after raping a woman. Since Tyson couldn't fight, he signed with WWE and made a reported $3 million for appearing as the guest enforcer at WrestleMania 14 when Austin challenged Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title. Tyson's appearance at WrestleMania was a lot of fun, but the most memorable thing he did was get into a shoving match with the top face of WWE: Steve Austin. Their big angle took place on the January 19, 1998 edition of Raw. With WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in the ring with Tyson and his entourage, Austin interrupted to say he was sick of the attention that Tyson was receiving. Austin told him he shouldn't step into that ring to mess with him and then he told Tyson he was looking at the world's toughest son a b**tch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5abDK1j5IE Vince McMahon's face was priceless. He was stunned by it. Tyson shoved Austin. Austin tried to get at him, but there were about 30 people in the ring trying to keep them apart. McMahon freaked out by telling Austin that he ruined it. The "Tyson and Austin" call by Ross was amazing. It was one of the best moments of his career. It was a chaotic scene that epitomized the craziness of Raw in those days where anything could happen. It was also this moment that really gave WWE a lot of momentum and helped them zoom past WCW in winning the Monday Night War. This was definitely one of those made for TV kind of moments.
