10 Crazy WWE Moments That Could Only Happen On Live TV
5. Steve Austin Driving A Zamboni
There are quite a few "Austin drives a vehicle" moments that could be on here. This one goes back to the September 28, 1998 edition of Raw after Kane and Undertaker pinned Steve Austin at the Breakdown PPV the night before. It wasn't fair. Fans were upset about it. WWE's Chairman Vince McMahon was in the ring to present the WWE Title to either Undertaker or Kane. That's when the fun began. Steve Austin was shown driving a zamboni in the backstage area. A zamboni is the vehicle that cleans the ice at a hockey game and it was fitting that this was in Detroit, which is known as "Hockeytown" because of how much they love the sport. While Austin was driving in, McMahon was fuming "don't let him in here!" Austin couldn't be stopped as he drove in the backstage area and emerged by the Titantron by the entrance. Austin parked the zamboni right by the ring. He ran across it and nailed McMahon with a huge clothesline as the fans went wild for it. What a moment. Austin was arrested, but he still went after McMahon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpRv1FVAvsI It was this kind of thing that made fans love Austin because he wasn't afraid to do anything to fight his way to the top. Just another example of how fun WWE TV was during the Attitude Era. It was crazy in a lot of ways, but it was so damn entertaining too.
