10 Creative Ways WWE Can Best Utilize Enzo Amore
4. As A Part-Time Wrestler
With Enzo's multi-faceted skills, who ever said that the current roster needs to work in the ring full-time? Well, probably Vince McMahon, but if he was willing to allow some of his veteran stars of past generations to work only part-time, perhaps it's a matter of time before he assesses if the deal might be right for some of the current regulars.
One way to utilize talent in a way that reduces overexposure is to not require every talent to be on the road non-stop, all year long. An off-season has long been a controversial and much debated topic in the world of pro-wrestling, but even without one, Enzo Amore could be used as a special attraction.
Usually when fans hear the words "special attraction" they think of stars like Andre The Giant, The Undertaker, or Brock Lesnar, but once upon a time, there was a full-time WWE superstar that took some time away from the ring and did become utilized in that special attraction type role. His name was Shawn Michaels.
Following his epic ladder match at WrestleMania X, Michaels intentionally became a part-time worker as he hosted The Heartbreak Hotel, seconded Diesel, and did RAW color commentating.
Obviously Enzo isn't anywhere near Michaels' league as far as in-ring work goes, but like Shawn, Amore's charisma is second to none. Similar to the aforementioned jack of all trade roles, Shawn is probably the closest WWE ever came to it and it worked wonders for that young man's career.
