9. Bludgeon Brothers Play To Crickets Again
The Bludgeon Brothers won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships in a triple threat battle at WrestleMania, against champions The Usos and long-time title competitors New Day. Positioned directly after the wild in-ring debut of Ronda Rousey, the glorified squash match was never given any chance to get over and simply served to bridge the gap between more exciting bouts.
The duo were set to get the title bout they deserved at Greatest Royal Rumble, squaring off in a more traditional clash with the Usos. These two teams had a selection of excellent matches during Harper and Rowan's Wyatt Family phase, including a stellar two out of three falls bout at the Battleground pay-per-view in 2014, so they have all of the chemistry in the world.
Unfortunately, positioning once again scuppered these teams. The audience in Jeddah was returning after a 15-minute prayer break and, as a result, their energy was somewhat lacking when this tag team match took place. Crowd noise was at something of a minimum and there was little excitement surrounding the finish, which saw the two goliaths retain the titles.
The Bludgeon Brothers will be hoping that their next title defence comes in front of an engaged crowd and at a point of the show that gives them the room to work.
