Long before the Women's Revolution hit WWE, AJ Lee was one of the few female wrestlers on the roster that fans were invested in. Due to years of poor booking and lousy matches, management needed to shake things up. So, in 2013, they gave her the opportunity to speak her mind freely on live TV.

Lee stormed to the ring on Raw and confronted the rest of the division. She called them "useless" and "interchangeable." She continued blasting away by claiming she worked her whole life for the opportunity while everyone else was "handed their 15 minutes of fame." The best comeback the Bella Twins had during this? "Say it to our face!", which they repeated about 50 times.

In a very non-PG moment, Lee insinuated that none of the women on the roster besides herself had earned their careers. "I didn't get here because I was cute. Or because I came from some wrestling family or because I sucked...up to the right people." Yeah, she was insinuating exactly what you think she was.

Unfortunately, this wasn't followed up on. Apparently some feelings were hurt and the company decided to not run with the hot angle. They went to all that effort for nothing.

Of course, this was a "pseudo-sequel" of sorts to another infamous promo from a few years earlier involving her soon-to-be husband...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
