10 Cross-Brand WWE Matches We Must See

7. Kevin Owens Vs. Randy Orton

Kevin Owens is going to be a top level performer in WWE for a long time, but despite only being on the main roster for a year he already seems to have faced everyone. He was drafted surprisingly low last night, being RAW's 11th pick and the 18th overall to go, which seems ridiculous for a man who beat John Cena clean as a whistle in his first match on the main roster.

Looking at the SmackDown roster, there aren't many marquee one-on-one cross-brand matches for KO. He's already faced Dean Ambrose, John Cena and AJ Styles a ton of times, as well as being involved in many matches with The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Kalisto. Bray Wyatt is an option, and a feud between hyper-real Owens and supernatural Wyatt would be a lot of fun.

One marquee name does stick out from the SmackDown roster however, and that man is Randy Orton. The two have only had one singles match to date, a match that Orton won by disqualification last July on Monday Night RAW.

Without the brand split, this match would most likely have been thrown away once again, a barely promoted match on RAW that ended with Kane or Big Show starting yet another feud with Orton. As it is, it can get a big match feel and a big match build.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
