10 Cross-Brand WWE Matches We Must See

5. The New Day Vs. American Alpha

This is a no-brainer, right? The New Day were drafted to RAW in the second round, the 10th pick overall, and the fate of their WWE Tag Team Championships has yet to be announced. Will the titles float between brands, or will SmackDown have to get its very own set of belts for its teams to battle over?

If the belts are to float, which I think is the right idea, the big marquee match to build towards for a big pay-per-view is clearly The New Day vs. American Alpha. AA were the second call-up from NXT last night. Daniel Bryan announcing them as part of his new SmackDown brand. They were the second team drafted too, a good sign of their standing on the main roster.

The New Day can't be tag team champions forever, but the brand split might buy them a little more time with the belts above their booties. Their main challengers on RAW would seem to be Enzo & Cass or Gallows & Anderson, but Chad Gable and Jason Jordan are clearly the big cross-brand team waiting for Kofi, Xavier and E.
