Most fans had given up on the idea of ever seeing Daniel Bryan wrestle again in a WWE ring. He was done and there was no chance in hell a doctor would clear him for competition after so many concussions.

Yet, here we are in 2020 and Bryan is not only medically cleared, but he's routinely battling stars like Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro on Friday Night SmackDown.

Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston and Adam Cole (to name but a few) have all lined up to face the 'American Dragon' during his current run, showing just how in demand the star has been since his return. However, Bryan has really come into his own in recent months as a star capable of getting over talents who are in need of a little push.

His battles against Bray Wyatt were designed to get 'The Fiend' over as a terrifying force and more recently he has taken it upon himself to help Drew Gulak find his place on the blue show.

It feels like Bryan is at a stage in his career where he would like to aid those on the way up and pretty much every star that falls into that bracket would give their right arm for a chance to work with him. So, don't be surprised if you see him enter a programme with Chad Gable, Elias or a new NXT call-up once he's finished up feuding with Sami Zayn and his Artists.
