10 Current WWE Superstars Who Should Adopt A Legend’s Finishing Move
7. Shinsuke Nakamura – Hell’s Gate
Used by: The Undertaker
As is the case for many wrestlers on this list, Nakamura would really benefit from freshening up his arsenal. Much like Cesaro, he is an exceptionally talented wrestler and doesn't exactly have a shallow move pool. However, an additional finisher would mark the beginning of a new chapter for the king of Strong Style, which is particularly important as he starts to pick up wins again as Intercontinental Champion.
The Hell's Gate is a fantastic looking submission and fits Nakamura's style. He already uses a Triangle Choke but it never wins him matches. Rather than trying to build the choke back up, he would be better off introducing the Hell's Gate along with all the Deadman associations.
The extent to which WWE should acknowledge the history of this submission is up for debate. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Undertaker is a dream match for sure but not one we need to be seeing in 2019. Undertaker probably only has one more feud left in him and that should be reserved for another entrant on this list. However there may be justification for Nakamura debuting the finisher whilst feuding with someone who has previously fallen to it. Say, Brock Lesnar.
Nakamura vs. Lesnar is a dream match which we absolutely do need to see. Plus, let's not forget that it was a low blow which led to Lesnar passing out in the Hell's Gate at SummerSlam 2015, and Nakamura isn't averse to using those either.
