Dear reader, I have a confession to make: I have something of a soft spot for Braun Strowman.

Maybe it was growing up with a bodybuilder father and, as a result, watching strongman competitions every Christmas, maybe it's his genuine enthusiasm outside of the ring, maybe it's the beard or maybe it's the immensely kind eyes, who knows? Whatever the reason, I'm pro-Strowman.

That being said, hot dang is the reverse chokeslam a thing of stupidity. Maybe it is the calibre of opponents he has faced since adopting it, but it just looks clunky and confused. It may sound insane, but I think I preferred the big ol' hug finisher he used when part of the Wyatt Family.

If you want to give Strowman this sort of finish, why not combine two of his major moves and give him Bad Luck Fale's Grenade as a finish instead? Food for thought...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
