10 Defining WrestleMania 31 Moments That Could Happen

8. R-Truth Winning The Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

Here's a crazy idea that everyone should stop and think about for a good long time. R-Truth is taking home the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania because he's outworking literally every other person in the match, combined. Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler seem content to act like being the IC Champ interests them only because they've been slotted away from the World Championship. Dean Ambrose has become a deaf mute, same goes for Luke Harper. Actual champ Bad News Barrett is a whining also-ran who looks great and executes well, but lacks that killer instinct. That leaves Stardust and R-Truth, who above any other people in this match, should be on top of the ladder at the end of the match. Stardust attacking Daniel Bryan on Smackdown was fantastic. He had malice in his eyes and determination in his actions. That's important. However, who's the guy cutting money promos and making the best use of his limited TV minutes (to the point where he gets more TV minutes each week)? R-Truth. People forget that Truth's a 25-year veteran, former NWA World Heavyweight Champion and in 2011 was a surprisingly well-regarded WWE main eventer. He's actually perfectly suited to win, and should.
