10 Degrees You Didn't Know WWE Stars Had

2. Kane (English Literature)

It's well-known that Glenn Jacobs has a real interest in politics away from the wrestling ring. Many have remarked that it's odd for the man who plays the demonic Kane to be so savvy outside of his 'day job', but Jacobs seems like a well-read, intelligent man. One thing many might not be aware of is exactly what Kane studied before putting his all into a career in wrestling. Up until he was notified of the Kane gimmick in 1997, Jacobs was toiling in the WWF. Earlier characters such as Isaac Yankem D.D.S and the 'Fake' Diesel hadn't exactly helped him set the world on fire. Jacobs must have been thinking that Kane would surely be a one-off persona, designed solely to put The Undertaker over at WrestleMania XIV. All these years later, the man is still playing the character on WWE TV. Shockingly, even though he has a strong interest in the field, Kane's degree isn't political. Instead, the man graduated from Northeast Missouri State University with a degree in English Literature. That means the future storyline brother of Undertaker spent a lot of afternoons studying the works of William Shakespeare, Mark Twain and Daniel Defoe.
