10 Devastating Injuries Suffered By WWE Divas

6. Naomi's Eye Injury (Raw, 2014)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD-kO3UswAg During a February 4 match with Aksana, Naomi suffered a severe eye injury following a vicious knee to the face. When her eye remained swollen some 24 hours after the initial injury occurred, she was sent for an MRI by WWE's medical staff. It showed the extent of the injury. Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com in an exclusive interview, "The CAT scan result showed a small, minimally displaced fracture of the eye socket or orbit on the medial wall, which is the inside part of the socket next to the nose." The injury sidelined Naomi for a few weeks and even took her out of a Divas Championship match against AJ Lee, which was a major professional disappointment. Luckily, Naomi was able to avoid surgery, which would have caused her to miss WrestleMania one year after being scratched from the card at the last minute. She recovered just in time to take part in the Divas Invitational for AJ's title but came up short in her quest to win the championship. At June 2014's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, she turned in the finest performance of her career in a losing effort against Paige, showing no signs of her previous eye injury having any long-lasting effects.
