10 Devastating Injuries That Made Wrestlers WORSE

3. Scott Steiner

Triple H Before And Way Before
Impact Wrestling

The worst thing about detaching oneself from the horrors of reality and living an Extreme Online life is that earnestness is dead and everything is a meme. And, since Scott Steiner is a meme unto himself, he will only be a meme to too many.

It's also bullsh*t that, through the lens of the monopoly, the more high-profile WWE run counts for more. And Steiner's high-profile run was a disaster because he worked through drop foot syndrome that terribly affected his mobility. He had also spent years overcorrecting for his diminished athleticism by piling on the mass, but by 2003, he could barely even brawl. He could only aim forearms to the backs of his opponents and lift them up with his legs wobbling underneath his massive frame.

But Steiner used to be an incredible worker. Humiliated by Triple H at the Royal Rumble, he spent much of his time 10 years prior showing up the rest of the WWF roster; at SummerSlam '93, he worked everybody else out of the Palace of Auburn Hills in a kinetic, stiff thriller opposite the Heavenly Bodies. This was a man with a higher vertical than any other, and he used that vertical to spike poor c*nts directly onto their heads.

This wasn't even his best run - Steiner was in constant incendiary form lighting up jobbers and hard f*ckers alike between WCW and NJPW - but the magic faded badly into the next decade.

Still: piss funny though.
