10 Directions NXT Should Look At For 2017

9. Clear Up The Women's Division

The current landscape for the women’s division is weak. There is Asuka, sitting at the very top with no one looking like a truly legitimate, well-rounded opponent for her. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are the top heels of the division, and whilst they have made great progress in recent months in developing their characters, they aren't exactly on Asuka's level.

There are several others - Ember Moon, Liv Morgan, Daria Berenato, and Aliyah - but whilst they have their individual traits, in a lot of ways they all sort of blend in as 'others'. There are so many options available: Ember Moon has the capacity to move to the top of the division, Daria can be developed as the female Brock Lesnar, and Liv Morgan... is still basically the Carmella of New Jersey, so that needs to be worked on (especially if she's now working with main roster stars).

NXT needs to make clear who are to be strong heels and faces moving forward, so fans can back them in this way.
