Candice's journey in WWE is a rather interesting one. Before Candice started becoming a full-fledged wrestling Diva, WWE did everything in their power to put her on our television screens. From Bikini Contests to Lingerie Pillow Fights, Candice was everywhere she was a valet for Torrie Wilson & Victoria, she was a guest on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel, and she even found herself involved in segments with Vince McMahon and D-Generation X. WWE seemed very high on the self-professed Candy-Coated Diva until she began taking wrestling seriously and eventually got injured. Working alongside Victoria and under the tutelage of Arn Anderson, Candice's in-ring skills saw a dramatic improvement, leading her to becoming the first Diva Search Girl to actually win a WWE championship belt. After losing the belt to Beth Phoenix, Candice challenged the Glamazon to the first-ever Divas' Best Two-Out-of-Three Falls Match for the championship. During the match, Candice broke her clavicle and found herself out of action for months until WWE hastened her return in February of 2008 which led to Candice re-injuring herself and forcing her to stay out of action until September! After that, WWE noticeably lost interest in their homegrown Diva. Upon returning to WWE, she challenged Beth for the Women's Title again. Their match-up at the No Mercy Pay-Per-View saw very little build-up for a feud with a built-in storyline and so much history attached to it. Following No Mercy, Candice began being used in a supplemental role before ultimately being dismissed from the company. Candice still had plenty to offer the company as a performer and could have easily transitioned into a more legitimate heel threat now that she was able to carry her own in a wrestling match; also given the fact that WWE had invested much of 2006 and 2007 into Candice, who was slated to become the face of the Women's Division, you would think that WWE would want to use her in every manner possible as they had done during her days as a mere piece of non-wrestling eye candy, where she proved to be very marketable for the benefit of herself and the company as a whole.
