10 Dreadful Wrestling Tropes That NEED To Die!

5. Distraction Roll-Ups

Combining two of the most maddening tropes in all of wrestling into one, WWE don't half love the sight of distracted performers being rolled up out of nowhere.

The idea behind the 'Most Devastating Move in All of Sports Entertainment' (salute to the mighty Simon Miller)/distraction combo is that this annoying trope of a finish protects both of the individuals involved.

In theory, the winner comes away with an all-important victory, and loser is given a justification for failing to defeat their foe - they simply cared too much about their mate on the outside or decking another villain on the apron.

In reality, though, this cheap conclusion does little to nothing for anyone and pretty much renders the entire bout as pointless.

If nobody really wins cleanly or in a way that proper helps their character grow/get more over with the crowd, then surely everyone just loses, right?

You'll struggle to find a single soul who has ever come away from a distraction roll-up ending - like the one seen when Ludwig Kaiser stole the win against Tommaso Ciampa on Raw in mid-November - desperate to see all involved go at it again.

It's just a lazy booking trope that should've died out a decade ago.
