10 Dream WWE WrestleMania Feuds That Should Have Happened

10. John Cena vs CM Punk

Now, in theory, this is one that could still happen if Punk ever did return to WWE - which seems a pretty drastic long shot at this point in time. Looking back, however, and even taking into account the obvious drawing power of having The Rock back wrestling again, it seems nothing less than pure insanity that this potentially generation-defining feud was never given the ultimate blow-off at the Show Of Shows. Punk's title victory at Money In The Bank 2011 and subsequent march into the crowd was by a margin the greatest end to a WWE Pay Per View in the PG Era. While the fallout from that amazing moment left a sour taste in many fans' mouths - the so-called 'Summer Of Punk' ultimately amounted to little more than, er, a Kevin Nash, Triple H....thing - Punk and Cena still developed a rivalry that saw them have a number of great matches over the following couple of years - not least a five star showing on Raw in February 2013. Put simply, they had obvious, legitimate heat with each other and perfectly encapsulated the two warring sides of the WWE Universe - the modern day Cena superfans and the more cynical, old school pro wrestling marks. Add in the fact that they had fantastic chemistry in the ring and you had all the makings of a bona fide Wrestlemania main event for the ages. Except....that never happened. They just did the Once In A Lifetime Rock/Cena match for a second time. In a lifetime. Ho hum.
